Ms. Aranda was born and raised southwest Michigan where she enjoyed summer time at Lake Michigan, and took advantage of the close proximity to Chicago and Detroit, where she frequented Cubs, Tigers, and Lions games. She attended Western Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and certifications in Special Education (Learning Disabilities and Cognitive Impairments), Elementary Education (K-6 all subjects), and English (grades 9-12). She also earned a Master of Arts degree in Literacy Studies and carries a Reading Specialist certification, which is what she enjoys the most-teaching reading! During her time at WMU, she completed her student teaching on a military base in Heidelberg, Germany, where she lived for an entire semester before graduating. She traveled all over Europe and hopes to go back someday soon! She moved to North Carolina in 2013 where she lived in Durham and Youngsville before settling down with her husband in Louisburg in 2020. She has a son who is 5 years old, and a Shih-Poo, Templeton, who keeps her busy!
